The essentials

BMB Lactation Clinic

The first few weeks of breastfeeding are rarely what mothers expect. Between navigating a painful latch, fluctuating milk supply, blocked ducts, and the quiet worry of whether your baby is getting enough, the early days of postpartum recovery can feel incredibly overwhelming.

None of these challenges have to be faced alone, and every single one of them is solvable with the right expert help at the right moment.

The team behind your care

Our Consultants

Every consultant on our team is an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) or a Certified Lactation Counsellor with years of clinical experience supporting Singapore mums. They train and update continuously, so the advice you receive reflects current evidence, not yesterday’s protocol.

Our lactation clinic is led by Ms Yasa Yong Nyuk Yin — an IBCLC, Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife, certified in BCLS with a Specialist Diploma in Health Care Education for Newborn Care & Understanding Newborn Characteristics. Our consultants are part of the broader BMB clinical team, which means seamless handover with our postnatal massage, lactation massage, and chiropractic services if you need a coordinated plan.

Colostrum harvesting

Collecting colostrum before birth

Collecting colostrum starting from 37 weeks of pregnancy allows you to build a small backup supply of milk before your baby arrives.

Early Readiness

Helps you build a small backup supply before giving birth, which can be particularly helpful if your baby has low blood sugar, difficulty latching, or if there is a brief separation after delivery.

Gaining Experience

Gives you hands-on experience with manual expression before your baby arrives, making the early days of feeding smoother.

Support

Especially beneficial if you have gestational diabetes, a planned C-section, or are expecting twins.
