Children aged 2-4 can also benefit from being massaged. Children at this age experience a lot of change, such as being separated from their parents and caregivers as they start school, learning to interact independently with peers during playtime, and becoming more aware of playing a ‘big sister’ or ‘big brother’ role. Massage can help a child to reduce stress. Some autistic children may also respond particularly well to massages.
